Carl Malpass

Carl joined our team at the start of 2023. He will be accompanying guests throughout their stay at Waterside Lodge as well as seeing other visiting anglers on the rotation. We look forward to you meeting our most recent team member.

Alastair King

Alastair will be joining our team at the start of the 2025 season after Harvey Grant's retirement in October. Alastair will be based at Lower Netherdale where he has been fishing with his family for over 30 years! We are delighted to have him join our team and he is looking forward to meeting all our guests when the season is underway!

Jim Cruickshank

Jim caught his first salmon as a 10 year old on the Carnousie beat so when the opportunity arose to buy the beat in 2007 the heart won over the head! Jim now takes much joy from being at the river both fishing himself and spending time with guests.

Irene, Moira & Jeanette

Irene, Moira and Jeanette have been part of the team for a collective 40 years with Moira leading the team since 2011! They are key members of our team and can be found on changeover days beavering away to prepare for new guests’ arrivals!

Sarah Cruickshank

Sarah moved back home to Aberdeenshire to work with her father and manage Deveronside Fishings & Lodges in 2016. Her favourite part of the job is meeting the guests who come to visit… and having a cast when time allows!
